2.2.3 Phoenix Connector for COM3, RS-485 (CN3)

RSB-4210 supports one RS-485 interface, while CN3 is a phoenix connector for RS-

485.

Note! For RS-485 applications, the two ends of the cable will have a termina-

tion resistor connected across the two wires. Without termination resis-

tors, reflections of fast driver edges can cause multiple data edges that

can cause data corruption. Please refer to Figure 2.7 and Figure 2.8 to

adding a termination resistor (120 ohms) on your end device (R289 of

RSB-4210, default is 120 ohms) to avoid this situation.
